Was born in theAlgerian west. Currently, it is danced exclusively in the area of Berkane and my city sidi BAL abbes it is carried out by the men to celebrate the victory, to show their attachment with the ground and their capacity of endurance.
It is a dance very rich in percussions, rates/rhythms and expressions. It is carried out by several dancers guided by a leader. They are held elbow with elbow, as welded the ones with the others by pushing cries showing their symbiosis with the rate/rhythm. That points out also the insoluble unit which was formerly to bind the warrior’s vis-à-vis the enemy. The dance allaoui joins the music nhari, regada, allaoui. In fact the chionis and the rafa play this music in the festivals. These dances are intersected with songs which report the is lived daily ones, the ancient poems or the religious texts. These songs also make it possible to celebrate the festival by the song and to let put back the dancers.
TECHNIQUES OF DANCE ALLAOUI:
It is a dance very retime which follows the beats of the guellal completely or of bender. The melody played by the casaba or the ghaita or the seamier is played in order to create a very convivial environment. The beat changes at the time or the leader pushes a cry. This cry can be “adkhroul” or “will jarra” etc..... Then the dancer must follow the “clac” of the percussion by striking very strong foot. When the leader known as “tears off”, the dancers must strike foot 3 times, 1 beat out of 2, when he says “spaissia” or “habbess” the dancers must strike 5 times of sharp with their foot the ground?
