DANSE TOUARAG

 

DANSE TOUARAG stems from the deepest Algerian desert and Sahara; it shows the Tergui culture in a nice artistic image. The dance symbolizes the fighting for supremacy between two tribes to control the sources of water and life which is too precious in these deserted and arid areas, it also portrays the struggle between good and evil from the Tergui myth where always the good prevail. The dance is composed of male and female dancers and uses traditional Tergui clothes and music instruments such as : ( Derbouka , Table , 2 kraKab) Snare Drum,craceb, Tergui Swords and shields.
